"summer of love"

The InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish Ball is the "can't-miss" event of the South Florida social scene. In its 23-year history, the Ball has raised more than $23.6 million, enough to grant the heartfelt wishes of more than 4,800 children with critical illnesses. This premier event features dinner, drinks, dancing and the chance to bid on fantasy items and experiences in the famed Live & Silent Auctions.

More than 800 of South Florida's local moguls, prominent business leaders, notable philanthropists, fashion mavens, socialites and jet setters attended last year's gala. Over the years, celebrity guests and musical entertainers have included Lenny Kravitz, John Jegend, Marc Anthony, Diana Ross, Paula Abdul, Sharon Stone, Pamela Anderson, Wayne Newton, Adam Lambert, Joan Jett, Wyclef Jean, Melanie Amaro, Macy Gray, the late Natalie Cole, Christian Slater, Richie Rich, Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons, Don King, Scottie Pippen, Mike Piazza, Bret Ratner, Marcus Schenkenberg, Kim Kardashian and Venus and Serena Williams and many more.

We recognize the InterContinental® Miami’s partnership with Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida as being more than just the venue. As the Ball Founder, 24-Year partner and In-Kind Donor of Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida, the hotel has donated the in-kind value of the event’s food, beverage, parking, accommodations and venue expenses of the Gala over the past 23 years. The InterContinental® Miami and its entire staff are committed to the enrichment of lives in our community through the InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball.
